Cordis in Shanghai Hongqiao is Langham Hospitality Group’s first Cordis-branded hotel in mainland China. Strategically located in Hongqiao Tiandi, the hotel is the flagship of the Cordis brand with direct access to the National Convention and Exhibition Center, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, and Metro Lines 2, 10, and 17 along the ground level or indoor walkway.
The word “Cordis” is derived from the Latin word for “heart”, which implies that the hotel will start from the heart and live up to its ideals, providing travelers with attentive and considerate service and a convenient accommodation experience that will bring them unique enjoyment and make them feel right at home.
The concept is: Shanghai Hongqiao offers 396 guest rooms, over 1,600 square meters of banquet and meeting space, as well as a wide range of dining experiences – including the one-starred Michelin restaurant Ming Court, which has been recognized by the prestigious culinary guidebook for four consecutive years since its opening five years ago. In line with the hotel’s philosophy of providing heartfelt service, all indoor public areas and guest rooms are equipped with advanced air filtration and purification systems, so that every guest can enjoy the freshness of indoor and outdoor air indices through the real-time data displayed on the in-room TV screens.
The biggest highlight of the hotel is the organic interaction of the most successful restaurant, Ming Court, with Hongqiao Tiandi, instead of placing it inside the main building as is customary in luxury hotels.
